Since i am free a bit compared to Pisces, I will blog on my participation in Pre PAC @ INTIM 04072009 and also piscesandleo's 3rd holiday @Cherating & Kuala Terengganu (will be in next post).
Piscesandleo had sat for 'PTD' examination on 21st Feb 2009 together but at different places. However when the result published in 'SPA' website on 16th Apr 2009, only Leo passed on 1st trial and sadly for Pisces she just couldn't get it right this time. I pray to Allah that Pisces will finally find her opportunity to join goverment soon. 3rd week of June, i got called up to attend Pre PAC which will be held in INTIM on 4th Jul 2009.. 2 weeks advance notice to Leo. Firstly, I have no idea where the location of INTIM at, based on the address it is somewhere in Chukai, Kemaman. The last time i was there was way back to Dec 2003 when my family + Cikda's family + Tehla's family + Paktam's family went there for Sata & Otak-otak treats after my brother's engagement in Kuantan. With the technology nowadays, using wikimapia.org (tq!) i found out that location of INTIM is not much far from the Sata & Otak-otak's place that i visited in 2003. What a coincident? In Dec 2003, we stayed in Suria Cherating Beach Resort (SCBR) and i still clerly remember the Sata & Otak-otak's place is within 10 minutes from SCBR. So i had set in my mind if i am going for Pre PAC, SCBR will be my place to stay since i have to report there as earliest as 8am.
I had put a lot of thought on this Pre PAC and i assume if i do leave my field for career changes, PTD will be my choice instead of doing Korean customer service helpdesk or Account related with Korean. On the other hand, Pisces had express her intention to go holiday in Perhentian Island with and option to Kuala Terengganu for her to do her shopping there. Couldn't blame her for the shopping, she was there almost 2 years under her former MMSC company. The Perhentian idea was difficult for me to let go. It was one of our intention to do it together. After a long discussion with Pisces, we decided to add holiday package in my Pre PAC trip to Kemaman. More on holiday will be blog in next post! So the plan was 1st to apply leave on 3rd, 6~7th for me and 6~7th for Pisces. Next to google accommodation option in Cherating/Kemaman/Kuantan & Kuala Terengganu. Third was to seek information on Pre PAC from friends & ready for it.
So on 3rd July as i am on leave, in morning i sent Pisces to work + breakfast with Pisces's colleague before made my move to Celcom center in Shah Alam for changing my youngest brother telco from Maxis to Celcom. Then straight away i went to Post Office near Taipan, USJ to renew my driving licence for 2 years + post the new sim card to my brother. Get back to home to check Myvi condition then performed Friday prayer in Al-Falah mosque. After prayer i had 'tapau' my lunch from mamak and had it at home while resting until 3.30pm before heading to Cyberjaya to fetch Pisces and straight away to Cherating. We arrived at Gombak toll plaza by 4.45pm then along the Karak Highway, raining started to pour and i had to slow down. We stopped by Lanchang rest area for Asar & short rest before continue journey to Cherating. Arrived there around 7.30pm and we had dinner (not satisfied with the service + taste) at one of restaurant along the way to SCBR. Check in around 9pm and trying to be cool with tomorrow Pre PAC but still couldnt sleep either till morning.
The D-day.. woke up early, shower and headed for breakfast with Pisces. 8.15am i drove with Pisces to INTIM. It took only 10 minutes to arrive there..GUESS WHAT? i forgot to take my tie inside bag.. after thinking for a few minutes, i decided to go back to SCBR for the tie. Then by 9am i am already in line for registration. From the line i tried to look if there any familiar faces but all new faces to me. After registeration process then headed to opening speech from INTIM staff in the main hall and to be informed that 220 person attending Pre PAC for that day. All participation had been reminded to extremely careful of evening activities at field which reminded me of RMC traditionally Saturday after lunch activity. I am left wondering to myself of what situation i will be facing that evening.
The next 2 sessions were free discussion + debate which i am left frustrated not had ample chances to state my view due to everybody want to talk at the same time. I really wanted to control the flow of the discussion but it too late because by the time i manage to speak it almost middle of discussion. The debate is not my strength and asking me to support a negative topic proven more damage to me. During this 2 sessions i managed to get knew some of the participation including 2 guys aging 35-40 years old. Well that sure a surprise for me! I even managed to talk to one graduate student in this July.. and sure this guy talk much as to impress everyone.
During lunch, i met this guy from Sg Petani. Seems ok to be friend with him. He also in construction field so i easily adapt with him using our 'loghat'. After lunch we performed our prayer before changing out sport outfit for evening session. So 2nd half of the Pre PAC, i took 'sahsiah & minat' paper. This is my 2nd time taking this paper so i knew what to expect. With average 1 question for 5-6 seconds, i managed to finish the paper with 10 minutes to spare. Then next session will be at the INTIM field... i have read somewhere that i cannot discuss openly on Pre PAC activities especially activities @field. So i need to cut short to a phrase that made me laugh inside me.. the phrase was "kiraan daripada saya, perbuataan daripada kamu"... Waaaa...really nostalgic!! the phrase was my breakfat on Satuday morning @RMC.. from Form 2 till 5 that was the exact same phrase that i never thought will made me laugh 10 years later.
So there goes the Pre PAC activities for that day. I am not sure which part or which area they will value my personality & skills but i had nothing to lose just to give a try to be one of the future 'PTD' officer. Surely it will be a future challenge for me & pisces if i received a call for final interview. Let see how this adventure journey will lead me to. Till then..
